The Janaganamana Utsavasamithi was started with the aim of awakening the dormant patriotism of the people and instilling faith in the country among them …On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of our independence, the Center has been organizing festivals every year under the name of Azadika Amrut Mahotsava. In this context, the Center has also paid special attention to the National Anthem.Inspired by the program started by the then CI Prashant Reddy five years ago in Jammikunta town of old Karimnagar district, some people from Nallagonda town formed a committee and formed an organization called Janaganamana Utsavasamithi in January last year.Led by Karnati Vijayakumar, who recently retired voluntarily as ATO in the Treasury Department, MVR Schools head Kolanupaka Ravikumar has been the General Secretary of the utsava samithi . Although everything was ready for this national anthem in 2020 … the event was postponed at that time due to Kovid … with full arrangements later Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s national anthem started in Nallagonda on 23rd January 2021 with full arrangements … like Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter who was not born but immortal , Is also the beginning of the national anthem but not the last dayGutta Sukhendar Reddy, the then Legislative Council Chairman and MV who served as the Joint Nallagonda District Judge on January 23 last year in a total of 12 main squares from the Vivekananda statue in Nallagonda town to the bus stand connecting Shivajinagar, as well as from the Clock Tower Center to the Savarkar statue. Ramesh Babu, former SP Ranganath and MLA Bhupal Reddy were the chief guests at the launch of the National Anthem …The program lasts for half an hour (30 minutes) and patriotic songs are played on the mic every morning at 8 am … at 8.27 am, two minutes of audio about the national flag and the national anthem makers are played … then at exactly 8.29 minutes the national anthem is played simultaneously in 12 locations … at 12 centers at the same time Existing assistants carry national flags and stand in awe … and all at once the traffic in the area stops.Wherever they stand … After the 52-second national anthem, the traffic goes back to normal.
However, the members of the organization did not stop there … they also run service programs with the intention of further expanding their services … During Kovid, during the lock-down, District Judge Ramesh Babu took over the distribution of essential goods to the poor.Police, who are frontline warriors during the lockdown, also distributed buttermilk for breakfast to municipal staff in the morning … as well as providing financial assistance to financially distressed students and poor families … The campaign was also carried out under the joint auspices of the District Police and Janaganamana Utsava samithi. Karnati Vijayakumar and Kolanupaka Ravikumar, president and general secretaries of the association, said that the national anthem program is ready to be launched in other towns as part of the program.He said that the program, which was started a year ago under the slogan ‘Let’s sing Janaganamana …. Let’s spread patriotism’, was successfully completed year after year with the cooperation of all the people of the town.
Initially, this great program was hampered by many difficulties … In addition to financial difficulties and some boycotts such as denial of assistance … The program, which started in 2021 in collaboration with the District Police and the Working Committee, is continuing successfully.The police have become the brand ambassadors for the event, providing full support on behalf of the District Police Department.
The Janaganamana was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on January 24, 1950 as the national anthem. The music for the song was composed by Rabindranath Tagore. It takes 52 seconds to sing this song according to the melody.
